What kind of haircut should I get?

My hair is extremely annoying and I'm sick of it! It's very wavy/curlyish, long (about 8 inches below my shoulders) and super thick and poofy. I really want to get a new haircut, but I don't know what style would make my hair more manageable and look good. I have a square-shaped face. What kind of hairstyle would work well with my hair? btw I'm 14.
