Am I a failure for feeding my child formula?

I think you would be a failure if your baby was starving. I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt you, but what your husband said was pretty insensitive. All you can do is the best you can do. If you did that, you have no reason to feel this way. And you need to tell your husband how hurt you are by his comment.
